Assassination of franz ferdinand The assassination of franz ferdinand happened in 1914 28th of june, Franz Ferdinand was heir to the austro-hungarian empire, but Franz Ferdinand had a lovely wife and three kids, one day the archduke decided to go to sarajevo to see the troops he done this to build a relationship between the sarajevo’s and his empire but what he did not know is that the date he went was a special occasion to the sarajevo’s. when they arrived in sarajevo what they didn’t know is that there were 7 terrorist standing in the crowd they all failed some because they just couldn't bring themselves to do it others felt sorry for his wife and another had equipment malfunctions till one guy, threw a bomb but it ricashaded off the car boot onto the ground and hurt some people but it did not hurt the archduke and his wife, but hurt some sivillians, that man got arrested, eventually the archduke had a decision to visit the people who were hurt by the bomb in the hospital, but they forgot to tell the driver where to go and he took the wrong turn and ended up right by gavrilo princip who was also another terrorist, he had no thinking just reactions he pulled out his pistol and shot twice he shot the archduke and his wife, the archduke’s last words were “sophie sophie don't die stay for our children”, but they both died, gavrilo princip could not get sent to prison because he was under the age of 20 but he also died of aTB in 1918, this is what cause WW1
